Making a computer change

I had a bare bones computer die back in Shipping today, all it ran was UPS Worldship and the thermo printer. So I'm thinking I'll move some computers around and buy a new machine for my printer.

I've got a SP300V on a computer that's running XP, Version 2002. No problems except the XP issue and available space. I thought I'd pull this one, put it in Shipping. Here's my question....

Has anyone had any experience good/bad with upgrading a computer and running your Roland on Windows 7 Pro? Figured I'd call Roland directly tomorrow, but wondered if anyone had upgraded along this same line and ran into trouble.

Any suggestions for bells and whistles to get on the machine?

Thanks in advance.

We have many customers running their Rolands on Windows 7 Pro. No problems at all.

I am assuming that you are using VersaWorks. My advice is to make sure that you have a fairly recent VersaWorks install disk (or download) to avoid having to install a really old version and going through the upgrade hassle.
