manaul cutoff

I'm doing some test cuts on my new vinyl machine. I've never done this before and got everything to cut individually but could not figure out how to get my cutter to cut out the objects in panels as to be able to weed properly. So far it's just a bunch of objects cut out sitting in my cutter. If this makes any sense thus far my question is at this point I'd love just to have my cutter cut me a straight line across the 24" of vinyl and then I can manually separate and weed the borders. I have flexi, is that where I can do this or is there a manual cutoff option on my graphtec? Any help would be appreciated.
