Masking Tape for printed material.

I dont have a printer and usually when I get something printed that I need masked, I usually have it applied by my vendor. This time, no masking tape on the print.

I use R Tape 4075 RLA for pretty much everything I do here. Will this work for the printed vinyl too. The print is not laminated either as it is only going to be up for about 2 weeks.

RTape will work just fine. I use it all the time, as well as a locally produced "house brand", on unlaminated prints without issue.

Is there any cut vinyl? If not, why use mask? there's lot's of methods to install vinyl without mask.

Well, i use the Rtape app tape also and on cut vinyl it's great but i have trouble with it sticking to the wax backing on digital prints. The digital vinyl i use is 3M IJ35C and it sticks to the printed vinyl but not the waxy paper that's showing after you weed at all.

So what, why would you need it to stick to the backing, if it's a problem of the transfer tape curling, cut off a 1/2" of the backing material and fold the edge of the transfer tape and stick it to the back side of the backing film. Do that on both ends and it shouldn't curl

The rtape conform series specifically the 4075 is supposed stick to the backing where the regular app tape will not stick as well if at all (edge curl).

We also use the rtape 4075 for unlaminated prints and 95% of our cut vinyl and it works great, 0 problems.

No offense but that sounds silly.

i rarely find the need to mask my controltac prints/cuts, but when i do I leave a "frame' of material for the mask to hold onto.

Just don', t use the Proveer product. Their managers will not even return calls when they know it's defective. I guess I'm too little a fish. Sorry thread for thread pirating, I'm just pissed.
