Kemik

I sell stickers and sticker accessories.
Has anyone ever had this error?
Everything worked fine yesterday and I have not updated anything.

"RasterLink7 cannot be started because Mimaki Driver is unavailable or not installed.
If Mimaki Drvier is not installed, please install v5.0.0 or later.
If it is installed, restart your PC and then start RasterLink7."

I tried restarting, and I tried installing the driver, it says it's already installed.
I guess I can try removing it and reinstalling?

Yes, removing it through control panel apps and install it again.

Could be that an update of the OS or some security software damages the installation.

Just tried it, it didn't work!
I am going to try again, this time with the virus scanner disabled, and a reboot in between the uninstall/reinstall.

After disabling the anti-virus, rebooting after uninstall and also installing with administrator rights, it's working again!

I get it every time I try launching Rasterlink 7 soon after restarting. There seems to be a lag before the driver initializes but never have a problem if I wait 3 minutes or so for everything to start up in the background.

When Rasterlink 7 was first released support for my UCJV300 wasn't available but I loaded Rasterlink 7 on my workstation to get familiar with it and keep watch for the UCJV support being released. I couldn't understand why I frequently couldn't print to my office printer and finally realised that the Print Spooler service was stopped, then realised that Rasterink 7 was shutting it down when it launched, I think the Mimaki Driver may require exclusive access. Along the way there was a change and the Print Spooler would be automtically restarted after the Mimaki Driver was launched but I believe this still happens..

Yes, I remember having this same issue for several months when I started using RL7.

Seems like the driver's .exe file was somehow removed, I've added the driver's folder to my virus scanner exclusion list.
