Mimaki JV33 Problem -

I keep getting the Y-Coordinates Error 250 at least once a day and it really sucks.. all the manual tells you to do is turn the printer off/on. great solution right?

Also, my printer light blicks when i'm out of ink - IT NEVER STOPS - just keeps on printing and puts out straight magenta...then after this happens i have to do a pump tube wash (i think thats what its called) to clear all the lines or else it will just keep on printing,.,..

Overall...my thoughts on this printer are that......its great quality when it prints but other then that its a picky pain in the ass....worse then my wife. any thoughts??

JV33 here as well. Sounds like you have a pretty serious issue that would warrant a service call. To me it sounds like an issue with the internal hardware.

Why haven't you called a service tech? Are you out of warranty?

Ask them to honor their service agreement and send someone out to fix it. Nicely at first. If that doesn't work, get progressively more un-nice. Ask to speak to a supervisor / Manager ask them for a the specific reason they won't send someone out to fix your Mimaki since it's still under warranty.

Since your pushing they should honor up and send someone. If this doesn't work we'll go to round 2 where the fun really begins.

We purchased a Mimaki JV33 and assembled it yesterday. We need some help to do the first time setup, since the tech guy is about 800 miles away.
So, the machine is assembled. We have to go through the startup process. Is there any special instruction for this procedure?

Newbie here just install the Rasterlink pro 4 on my new core 2 duo pc
nvidia video card

Got error "profile management error" when trying to open the rasterlink software and also got the runtime error#3(trap)

Take some spray lubricant, and put some on a cloth. Wipe down the round metal bar that sits over about 2 inches over the platten. I had the same problem. This from my service guy. It worked.

na. not out of warranty..and i did call..he told me to oil something...i bought it from advantage..they kinda suck


So far I have had pretty good success with mine, a few issues and my techs could'nt be more helpfull. If Advantage does not give you any help call Pioneer Supply in Pittsburgh (1-800-545-2233) and talk to Brian, I think he knows as much about Mumaki's as anyone he may be able to help you over the phone.
