Mutoh 1617H is it worth the money

I've been starting to look at the Mutoh 1617H mostly because of the attractive price and i'm a little concerned on why this printer is 20K less than basically any other hybrid printer out there. Albeit those are traditional UV printers and this is more like a solvent printer. I'm wondering if anyone out there has experience with this printer of even its predecessor. Specifically the ease of use and the white ink. I'm looking to print mostly spot white on 1/8" Sintra and 1/16" PETG and Polycarbonate.

Thanks in advance,

the petg should give you problems. it's a tricky substrate for most any ink. if it were my money, for the same money, get a uv that's used but has a proven track record of large shops being able to run the balls off the machine and make money. vutek qs2000's are coming in at great prices (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vutek-QS-20...165?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item46121e57cd). after you get the printer, your short list of substrates will be longer, heavier, and thicker. i'm assuming this 1617 is a second generation. the first generation was a disaster.
