Mutoh 1617H - spit pad stuck to print head, issues following fix

The first issue we had was a CR2 overload and it turned out to be the spit pad that had somehow been caught by the print head, picked up, and jammed. It was there fr about 5 days before a tech came in and worked out what the problem was. He cleaned off the print head and when we ran a first nozzle check it was only Cyan that was missing some nozzles.

We tried to resolve that by soaking the print followed by cleaning cycles, and have probably soaked the print head for 1hr four times and run about 10 cleaning cycles. The Cyan Nozzle check was about the same and this morning we tried to print a test banner that was just blue text - to our surprise it printed pretty well.

But now we have a bigger problem... the K nozzle check doesn't show anything and the Y has almost fully disapeared. Both of these were perfect when we were trying to fix the Cyan!

Any ideas how these could have gone? All we've done is text nozzles and run long cleans.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you

Replace the maintenance station to assure you have all the pumps working (you can clean it but replacement ensures it's working perfectly).

I am a bit concerned that it took 5 days to realise their was a spit pad stuck to the print head!
The issue with this is, that when the head has returned to the capping station at the end of a print the spit pad would have been crushed against the head nozzles!
Spit pads are very rough and cannot be a good thing touching a print head.

If further soaks and the new maintenance station is not helping reclaiming lost nozzles further damage must have happened.
Sadly then it's time for a new print head.
