MUTOH 426UF - ink on head problem

Hi guys,

I've recently problem with ink bubbles on head. The head is same on any other Mutoh machines. Its DX7 head.

Normally everything runs smoothly, but out of nowhere the prints are faded. When I look at printer head, there are bubbles of color on it (see attachment). I noticed it recently, magenta started doing it, now it's white and yellow. Momentaly, I cannot finish 1 single table without head was messed up. The prints in the beggining are superb, but in the half of table prints are faded.

The printer is not used 24/7. 10 hours / week aprox. The head was changed 2 year ago.

Any clues? Thx for reply in advance.

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
That's one model I don't have a lot of experience with but usually when ink is falling out of the head it's a damper issue. I assume that machine uses dampers since it's the DX7. Dampers usually need to be changed every 1 to 2 years in my experience.

Thank you for fast response and your tip.

I thought it could be damper.

This machine is nightmare. It's same hardware in it as in LFP printers (except uv lamp, table and other), but I had hard times with her. Hope that problem is caused by bad dampers. Previous head went gone by stupid mistake of engineer of cleaning station. Some tube slick out from stem and head dry out. It cost me almost $4.000 in my currency.
