Mutoh Falcon Printing Costs?

Hi I have finally (after 3 weeks) got my 48" mutoh falcon printing perfectly!

Now comes the fun part. Pricing.
How do you do your pricing?

I want to come up with a sq ft price for full color. Just ink price.
I print on many different mediums so material cost will vary from job to job.

Has anyone figured something like this out?

Also say you are printing a sq ft of material that has 5 small designs in it... that you will then die-cut with a vinyl cutter. How do you go about charging for that?

radya, thanks! This definitely helps me get a better grasp on ink usage.
I am grabbing the free version of onyx right now. I previously used Flexi... which I don't think has any ink usage calculations?

Welp, A few hours later and messing with trying to get Onyx.... I learned that I must pay for onyx. And the ink monitoring system they use.

We don't like to talk prices in the open air like this. But add up your shop overhead,gas,electric and rent and so on then go from there. We all are different. I have less overhead then the guy down the road but I charge more and I am doing just fine.

Charge what the market will bear.

You don't have to figure your costs exactly...just charge what can get!
