Mutoh Falcon - What is this?

This happens everytime I try and print a solid color. See how the print has a constant wave of light to dark? What is that? I've tried messing with my temperature settings in the past and it does not seem to make a difference?

What should my temperature settings be at? And what causes this problem?

I would try to switch to another color profile that used more ink, but this is the only profile I've been able to find that gives me accurate colors. It's an Arlon profile.

Thanks for your help!

First off, it will never be perfect. With that said though, it appears like it's your heaters. No setting adjustments will fix it. I had the same problem and what my tech did was slightly disassemble the printer until he got to the heaters, then laid 2 layers of Dc 181 reflective tape down to help disperse the heat more evenly. I didn't do it myself though so maybe others could chime in with a more detailed description?

Looks like the colors are striped at the rollers, the space between the rollers is a different color than the area under the rollers. We had that problem with a 48" falcon, but we replaced that machine 6-7 years ago so my memory isn't what it once was. As I remember we had lowered the heat a little and each of the pinch rooler had 2 springs, we removed one of them. As I remember someone had indicate the material was getting too much pressure. Do you have the problem with all materials? Seems like we got our best results using General Formulations 201 or 202 material, not sure which any more.

I've had some banner material in the past that liked to tunnel on just like that.

I had to basically turn off the heater right next to the roller and turn the platform heater all the way up.

I also had to let it cure longer before handling.
