Mutoh prismjet 62 ink gauge?

Is there something hiding in these printers that let you know how much ink is left in the cartridge?

Found a chart on the internet that has wheights for them, but is not accurate at all, showing empty wheight but my cartridges are under this and still printing and you can here and feel ink in them.

Also will the printer stop when out of ink or just quit printing the color that is out and mess up the job?
