Hi there, my Rockhopper 1 ,is diplaying Error 072- carriage imposition error what do I do ?

Check for dirty encoder strip.

Than x for your responce but I have changed the encoder strip and the error is persisting.

What about the sensor? Y cable connections?
or could be:
Y motor gone bad
Y cable gone bad

Than x, am sorry for just getting back , I will check the motor immediately but which of the cables is the Y cable ?

It is the flat cable going to the head board assembly.

Error 070 Yencoder error display.

Hi there,

After changing the encoder strip and the encoder itself , my printer still gives error 070 yencoder error. what else do I need to do to get my printer working again . Regards.

I had an error similar to this and it ended up being the sensor on the back underside of the carriage. Once a new one was put on the machine worked normally. Hopefully thats it!
