We have been offered a Spitfire.
How good is it?
Any use selling our Mimaki JV3 and getting it in stead?
I understand it has wavy banding in stead of straight banding...

Wow, not many replies here...

Printer is still for sale, I'm considering buying it along with some other stuff I need.

It has been sitting for a year unplugged, and will probably need new heads. Anyone interested? I can try to power it up and clean the heads. Cheap.

I was considering it at one time, but back then it was expensive, and I bought a GS6000...

Technically your jv3 is similar to spitfire,both of them are old design.But jv3 is better overall printer. if i would choose another printer then it would be:
1)Roland---best engineering .easy maintenance,no ink chip required, technician dream.
2)Mimaki--more cumbersome to use, some banding on gradients
3)Mutoh---japanese design Valuejet1614 is much better than crazy belgium ideas like spitfire and blizzard.not user ot technician friendly.problems with ink chip.
