Mutoh ValueJet 1204 / Random Blurry Printing

Hello,

I have a Mutoh ValueJet 1204. When ever I print, it prints perfect until about 6-8 inches into graphic. Then it looks all blurry for an inch then goes back to printing clear. This will repeat over and over on a continued image. I have changed print profiles and receive the same results. It's not horribly notice until the blurry starts over small text area of an image then its noticeable. Can anyone input on help?

Your encoder disk is dirty or damaged. If you take the left cover off the machine it will expose a clear disk. Clean the dust and grim off of it gently with a lint free cloth and rubbing alcohol. Then see if that helps the issue. If not, you will need to replace it.
