MUTOH Valuejet 1204 Worth It?

I'm considering getting a MUTOH 1204. Is the maximum print width of just less than 48" an issue? It seems it would be, since so many substrates come at 48" width. Also, it seems that the 48" or 50" print vinyl and banner stock is not that common. I can't understand why MUTOH would make a printer that prints just under 48"... Any thoughts from 1204 owners appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric

I have a 1204, some times i wish it was 64 inches.. but 90% of the time it doesnt make a difference to me, but then again i just print logos and half wraps for race cars...

If you're doing van wraps and such, get a 64...

54"

Mutoh has some great deals on the 1324 (54") right now. PM me and I can get you a quote. I think you will find that 54" material is much easier to come by and you will have a greater selection.

Are you looking for a new or used machine? the new 54" is not much more than the 48" (with the trade in program). The standard for media is 54" but there is not too much of a problem getting the 48" these days. I have several customers with the 48" and love them. they very rarely need bigger and the machines have been in use for 5+ years.
