Hi Guys, :omg2:
I have a Mutoh ValueJet 1604 Solvent and i have recently had the head replaced with a service technician and now it has developed another problem where the print head is just not firing at all (NOT EVEN A SINGLE NOZZLE)... so far this is what has been checked...

1. the Firmware has been updated
2. The head fuses have been checked (working fine)
3. ink has been pulled through the head to make sure it is flowing correctly
4. another head has been put in
5. carriage board has been replaced
6. Main board has been sent to an electronics expert (working fine)
7. cables have been changed from carriage board to the head.

It has to be signal not getting to the head! Can ANYONE please help.

Kindest regards,
Mark

You said that you confirmed ink is moving through the head when the pumps are running correct? If so then the only other thing that I have ever seen cause this is the F2 fuse on the main board. I would double check and make sure they tested the F2 fuse and not one of the other ones.

If the ink isn’t moving through the print head it could be a failed maintenance station. The final thing to check is whether or not the new head had a solvent resistant manifold. If it wasn't an OEM Mutoh head the likely hood that it had a solvent resistant manifold is slim to none and if it wasn't changed over the ink would have melted it.

Fit the working head on the not working head position.
If the working head can not work too, it can ensure it problem of printer head.
Did the technician discharged before he fiting this head?
If you use F158010 head, there is possible that printer can not recognize head, though it is rare.
