Mutoh ValueJet and PrismJet VJ - Same Thing ?

These look almost identical to me . . . Both supposedly made by Mutoh . . .

What's the deal here ?

I guess I just answered my own question.

The PrismJet VJ (available thru Signwareho...) only comes in 48" while the ValueJet comes in 54" and 64", etc . . .

Looks like one of the printers has a wind-up as the other does not.

they all have a take-up system if you purchase it... Same printers, Mutoh builds the 1204 for them now. SW is the only place who sell the 48 as far as I know...

A VJ1204 - has a max speed of 147sfph (from mutoh)
A VJ1204SW - has a max speed of 100sfph (from SW)

exact same machine, junky firmware in the SW model.

Speeds are debatable. Depends on how you set the machine up and the software settings. The machines are physically identical, inside and out.
