Mutoh VJ1604 Black Lines all over the place...!

We have a Mutoh VJ-1604 and last friday after running a wrap job the machine started printing black lines all over the place, I did a test print and seems as if the black is printing lines on top of everthing else,.

the photos show the test print and a job sample I ran, notice the solid black lines at the end of the media?

any suggestions as to what might be causing this or how to trouble shoot it would be grealty appreciated it. I already did several strong cleanings and manually cleaned the wiper and around the print head with alcohol and a swab as directed by the maintenance instructions.

a) why turn a jpg into a pdf?

b) looks like bad cables / other bad data problems - might try (turning it off) and reseating head cables as a first step

I reset the network, checked all connections in and out of the machine, test print still looks the same, used different profiles and different medias, nothing............

if you are unsure, get a tech in

get a tech in....is exactly what im trying to avoid by coming here......ill see if I can figure it out, looking for printer's manual right now....
