Question Mutoh vj628 Ink type

Hello, sign masters! Recently I bought a vj628
and Would like to know if it can use the 440ml cartridges. I checked on one website that if the printer was manufactured before than 2019 jt is compatible. But how I can make sure if this? just dj t wanna order a set of ink without been sure they will work.

The VJ-628 never supported 440ml cartridges, 220ml only. The older firmware might have allowed the use of 440ml but the latest firmware should definitely lock it out. the printer's internal cartridge stall isn't designed to handle the weight and length of the 440ml cartridge and Mutoh will not provide any support if there are issues with them on a VJ-628.
