Mutoh1304 e079err comm. Pls help!!

Please help me i have valuejet1304 and it has e079err comm. We tried to on and off still the same problem and firmware updatin is not possible please help

between MAIN
board to controller
board.
2. Check connection
between junction
board to controller
board.
3. Check firmware
version and install
the latest version.
4. Replace controller
board or MAIN
board.

That's what it says in the manual!!!

079 error

Oh dear.
I have had this before. I installed a New Main Board (did not fix) so we put old one back in

There were lots of other (unnecessary) things done: Maint station, head etc, etc, that cost me alot of money by a tech (company that I will not name - still spitting nails...)

Then we put in new CR board - which in turn gave an error code that main board was bad so we put the new on back in.

I have, however, recently been told that it may have been the "encoder strip"
Im not familiar w the 1304 (I have 1204) but see if there is ink on the clear strip - reply back if you cant find.

Need to change a Dip Switch on the Heater Control Board, he called Mutoh and they got him working again...
