For the life of me I can't understand why these machines even have such a contraption..... I have had mine rigged from day one with the piece off the lid permanently on the magnet so I can lift the top and see whats going on. Today I was cleaning out all the gunk around the wiper and then accidently moved the metal piece...Now no mater what I do it wont connect back up. I saw 2 screws there and loosened one and the device on the other side of the plastic wall fell off. I got my habd around to the back and fished the switch out and can see that it only has 2 wires attached and there is a third spot for a wire but cant seem to fish anything else out of the rear. Question is...is there a third wire? I ask as with the switch out and manually making sure it is depressed the machine still thinks the lid is open..... No printing today!!!
