Hey guys, I have a customer asking about a 4x6' mylar sign. It will be displayed in a store front window and i'm pretty sure mylar is a polyester film.

Sounds like the customer doesn't know what they are talking about but maybe i am missing something.

Said "I want a 4x6' mylar sign for my store front window and the background to be gold"

Thanks!

it's just a trade name for polyester. he probably mean "clear stuff printed reverse" there were a lot of artists in the early 80's that would do reverse images (painted and leafed) behind mylar. i love working with polyester, it's crisp, solvent resistant, heat resistant, etc. but as a printable surface you need to pretreat and or coat it.
