my vj 1204 is not feeding. The vinyl rolls front and back when initializing but prints very very slow. the head goes back and forth at normal speed but material will not advance. Have tried hooking up to second computer with no results. Was printing fine until we ran out of magenta ink. We installed new ink cartridge the next morning and now we have this problem. The vinyl will not advance in the printer, have rebooted printer and computer several times none of which helped at all.

Thanks in advance

Is it not feeding?
Or printing slow?

Does the media advance at all while 'printing'?

What 'mode' is the printer set for?
Is "Color Correction" in the RIP checked?

If it is advancing at say, 16 pass.
Then make sure you have 'color correction' checked on your RIP OR have the printer resolution set on the front panel to be the same as in your RIP.
(RIP always overrides, except when not checked to do so)
