Need help roland SG2-300

can someone help me out i need a good pic of the silver piece that is attached to the front cover that trips the sensor when closed mine is missing and if you could please give me dimensions and if possible where I could buy one thx a million in advance

As Roland doesn't appear to have an exploded view document for this printer, I can't find a part number, so I don't know how you will be able to find the actual part. You can fabricate something, as it's probably just a 90 degree angle piece. As both the previous suggestions are more of a permanent solution, another possibility is to make a removable plug you can place in the switch bracket, retaining normal switch functionality. It is useful to be able be able to open the cover while printing.

update i went to my friends machine shop and fabricated one not too hard i just like the idea of being able to shut off the head immediately if something goes wrong just by opening up the front cover i will sell these if anyone needs one for 5 dollars just to cover material made from aluminum thx for all the help
