Need Help!!!

i have flexi 8.5 and have always done vinyl jobs...well now i have got my printer and cant start doin more thing...the problem i have is i can outline text with regular colors but a customer wants to outline in some of the fills i have...i know how to mask the text with the fill i cant figure out how to mask the fill into the outline...any help is greatly appriciated!!!

You might want to explore making your fills into Flexi patterns on their own palette. Then you can assign them just as you do colors and they automatically stay within the limits of the vectors.

Be forewarned that large fills which are converted to patterns will all load and tie up Flexi until they are completely loaded. So keep your palettes down to 5 to 10 at most and close them when done so they don't load the next time you launch Flexi.

If you take your fill and put it either over or under your text, the select both layers and apply a mask it's in the arrange menue.

you can use a contour cut for an outline. Then you simply lay the contour over your fill or image, and mask it.

i think you can achieve

what you want by going to the effects menu and choosing to separate the effects - the text fromthe outline...then you can work with the outline and mask the fill.

If you seperate the outline then you can mask it with you fill.
