need new printhead

I've been looking everywhere. advice? where is the best and affordable place to get one. I have a 3 year old Mutoh 1204 bought new from signwarehouse. Just made the last payment on it and poof. It won't print anything after trying to recover the one I have. thank you for any advice given.

If the head doesn't fire at all suddenly after you tied to recover it, you probably blew a fuse. Usually it happens if you work with the machine plugged in or knock the cable loose before turning the machine back on. Since it is a newer 1204 it should have a socketed fuse which makes repairing the board easier. The fuse is on the main board so you are going to have to take the back platen off to get to it.

Changing fuse.

Ive read several posts. I have a new 750amp fuse #2 arriving today. My question is...before we remove the cover to fuse box, do i need to back up anything for the printer? I have several customers waiting for us to get up and running again. Im so backed up, i need this to work today. Thank you for all help....
