Need to print 72 inches and I've got 76 inches of material

I need to print a 72 inch long window perf and I have exactly 76 inches of material. I lose about an 1 in or so loading up my mimaki jv33. I don't know exactly how much I lose on the tail end of the roll before the machine stops itself.

Any idea? Will 76 inches work?

The customer was broken into the other night and the original graphic was smashed in the process.

Tape on 12" of some vinyl with backing to the end of the roll with packing tape, trim the tape of course.

for getting a machine to do what you want i can see an advantage to that but it also gives you the chance of making one hell of a mess if your not concentrating!

Tape media in front also...

We have thrown away a lot of expensive media before starting to use tape...

No big deal with 3164, but thermal transfer media is expensive!
