new board on vj1204

i install a new mainboard and it comes on showing valuejet 1204 and the version then it change and look like Chinese or Japanese and i can't read it to know what to do. Any help to what i can do?

For change the language of panel:
1. Press [Power] key in the operation panel while
pressing [Cancel] key.
2. Press [Setting/value +] key or [Setting/value -]
key in the operation panel to modify the value.
3. To save the modified value, press [Enter] key in
the operation panel

i like vivid color
It will be hard to change the language as you can not understand the Japanese manual.
You can try update the program of old mainboard to this new mainboard.
Everything will be ok include language.

Maybe pull out your manual and use that. Count each time you press the button to get to the correct screen based on the manual information. Whether its Japanese or American the Manuals are usually set up in the same manor. Or type up a word document with the directions in English with Japanese below it. Just trying to give you some ideas that might help. Good luck. :thumb:

Hi All

I get it back to English with the steps that was given. Now it is telling me to insert cleaning carriages but i didn't tell it to flush or anything so. I don't have any cleaning carriage , how do it get it cancel so i can go back to normal mode?

You have to run printer in Diagnostic Mode and go to menu:
Parameter->Update->ChargeFlg, and change value to User/Init:Cahrge.
And restart the printer.

This will get you going right here. You will also need to run all of the print head alignments as they are now set to defaults. Remember, you just replaced the brain of your machine. It thinks it is a brand new printer that hasn't been configured yet.

Thanks i got it done. So i have to do head alignment although it was printing before or is it because it have in a new board.

New board has a default settings for all user settings and aligmnent.
So, you need to make all alignment step by step for perfect print quality.
