New Head/Cables for ValueJet 1304w

I just bought a new head and new cables, but the cables they sent are a good 5-6 inches longer than the original ones! Does anyone know if these are okay to use anyway, and if so, where to put the extra slack? Thanks in advance!

5 - 6 inches is a pretty big difference but it should be fine. Fold the slack up and use some tape, I use electrical tape but you can use whatever, to hold the folded cable in place. You're basically just shortening the cable by folding it. A lot of people are hesitant to fold the cable but they are called FFC cables (Flat Flexible Cables) for a reason.
