New Mimaki CG60st vinyl cutter

Hello All,
I hope this is in the right thread...

I bought this cutter and need help setting it up.

I connected a cord (one end USB and the other to the cutter a 25 pin).

How do I get it to read to the cutter?

I have CorelDraw 12, I heard I can RIP from it but how?
I design in Illustrator CS4.
PC, Windows XP Media Center Edition

Any in help would be great.

Thanks
Blake

You would probably need a plug-in for CorelDraw made by Mimaki to be able to cut directly from Corel.

There is no RIP - that is a printer thing. A cutter just cuts and needs a special driver, plugin, or program to run it. Mimaki does have Finecut which is a plugin for both Illustrator and Corel to drive the cutter. Finecut comes with Mimaki cutters. If you did not get that you can buy it from a Mimaki dealer.
