Can't believe Corel Photopaint is still bundled with CorelDraw at no extra charge and can do virtually the same.

can someone else who has used both (recent versions) please back this up? Is that true? I have a hard time trusting any photo editing with "paint" in the name. What about raw photo support and workflow?

What about raw photo support and workflow?

I rarely use any photo editing program other then the most basic functions that even the one that comes with Windows can do (really basic stuff here).

However, I don't shoot photos in RAW, but it does look like Photo-Paint x5 can support it. At least from the cursory look that I did. Workflow I can't answer as much, because like I said, my workflow doesn't really deal with a lot of photo editing.

Arial Sucks.
Corel Photo-Paint is better than nothing, but it isn't equivalent to Photoshop. It isn't even Corel's best image editing application (that title belongs to Painter, formerly from Fractal Design). IMHO, Corel is needlessly duplicating efforts by having 3 image editing apps in its arsenal (Paint Shop Pro, Corel Photo-Paint and Painter). At the very least I think Paint Shop Pro and Photo-Paint could be merged into something a little better and less clunky.

I can't wait to use photoshops deblur feature.. If it works.. You know like taking a picture of a license plate, blurring it, and then someone being able to unblur it.. If its a real feature like the beta video I seen...
