New Seattle guy needs local foam monument supplier

Hello, from the great Pacific Northwest. I'm owner of Chicagoland Signs and we've moved out here to chase my wife's promotion. Still trying to run the Chicago shop from 2000 miles away.

Anyway, gotta foam monument job here locally (permit just approved), but my Illinois foam guy wants $500+ to ship it out here. Peachtree FoamCraft has a branch in Nevada or Arizona, but I've never used them before, and shipping is only slightly less from there.

Does anyone know of a Seattle/Tacoma/Portland shop that manufactures a nice foam monument product?

Thanks, and I can't wait to explore this forum... I'm sure I'll learn alot from you folks!

Thanks,
Brad

majority of the shops that I know in portland outsource their foam signs or buy premade blanks. there are a few monument sign companies but they do not manufacture 'foam' signs, more brick, solid sandstone, etc. Security Sign pushes the envelope as far as mixing mediums but they are more of an electrical shop they have a great reputation and have been around FOREVER (nearly 80yrs now).

There are a few world famous shops in washington that can make what you want depending on your budget (they focus more on hollywood movie props, making models of a product a company makes that is 1000% larger...things like that).

what kind of budget are you working with (no need to list dollars) but is this lower end, sky is the limit or? you can always buy a foam monument or build your own and then partner up with someone with a cnc router (everyone and their brother in the pac nw has one) and have them route acrylic or whatever letters, logos, numbers you need.

We have used Peachtree over ten monument signs recently and they are great to deal with. They are working on a sample for us right now to show a customer. As far as I know, their Nevada plant is the closest West Coast plant.

We are the only "wholesale only" manufacturer with a plant on the west coast, and would be glad to provide you with an estimate on your next project... feel free to call us toll free at 877-862-0840 or visit us online at www.foamcraft.info.

Hi and welcome. We're also in the PNW. We also use PeachTree and are very happy with them.

But why not throw yourself into a pickup and go down to Henderson. Get some great golf in while you're there.

Flip answer to your question, but if you have to spend $500 bucks for transporting it, why not? lol.
