Newbie Windows question, my font preferences keep changing...

I'm embarrassed to be asking this because I consider myself pretty computer savy, but
I haven't been able to figure this one out.

In outlook and now my chrome browser, my font preferences keep randomly changing...
Right now as I'm typing this, it is an italic font... and when I'm in the outlook preview, the subject text will change to
some funky unreadable font....

There is a known issue of windows continually making your fonts smaller but not changing the style. This is a new one for me as well.

Yeah, I haven't been able to find anything on it... not a huge deal, just freakin annoying.
Maybe I should uninstall all my fonts, except Helvetica and Arial

that sounds like the best option. Your probably ok to keep Comic Sans and Papyrus in their also.

Ended up being corrupted fonts in his case.
