Newest generation of Mutoh Valuejet

Did anyone get a look at the 1324 and or the 1624 at ISA?

Looks like they are the same chassis as the older valuejet line, but the 1324 has the cleaning door (DUH?!?!? why wasnt this on the 1304?), and they both have a bit more speed, the new Epson DX5 head, and the OPTION for the spectrometer.

My first bit of research will be to see if we can just buy the new endcap for our 1304's as it looks like the exact same chassis so that all of us poor schleps that cant barely clean the head will finally be able to have a door to make it easier.

Quit buggin' me
I already solved my head access for cleaning issue.

What I would like to know if this could be retro fitted to the 1304:
"Eco-Ultra Ink 220ml (1000 ml pack available w / optional adapter)"

The empty 220's I have stacked look like a big waste to me for something that prints yards at a time vs inches.
I would imagine the reduced shipping costs alone would be worth it to someone like me out in the middle of the ocean.

if they are using the same ink carts, then it should be adaptable i would hope as it should be the same form factor.

what did you do to solve your cleaning access issues? sawzall?

Hehe, that was my first idea.

Instead.
I pulled mine and it didn't look like it added much to the structural integrity of the frame.
The cap is held on with 7 screws. I discarded the 3 hardest to get to.
The 2 on outer end in the long tunnels and the one behind the media mount(like to talk to the engineer that put that one there).
The 4 that are left:
The two on the front under the lid are easy to remove and the ones in the back are slotted so they only have to be loosened a little and not removed.
Takes just a second or two to pull the cap and slide the head over the void to see what is going on with the head.

Gives me more time to dream about that 1000ml bulk ink setup.
