Nozzle check - BLACK on Value Jet 1604

I have a problem with my Value Jet 1604:

  • When I perform a nozzle check the blank color is not “aligned” like another colors (difference in photo 1)
  • The printing test is like in photo 3, 4
  • And when I’m using a profile which is based on weak blank is like in photo 3, changing the profile with more color - proto 4 (it’s perfect but I waste color)
It is possible to solve this problem by aligning the nozzle or another option?

Thanks

I'm having the same problem. Read my post and answers and look at my pic. It's the thread that says crooked black lines

If on factory inks, check into the warranty.
If out of warranty, I'd try everything I can to return the nozzles.
Check maintenance station.
Head soak.
Run cleaning fluid through.
Typically when you see that much deflection in a color, and you rule out defective maintenance station, you either have bad ink or have had a head strike that affected the print head.
Look for damage to the head.

That looks like a lot of deflected nozzles, in fact I have never seen so many deflections and no blockages on a single colour.
Firstly is the head physically clean, as fluff and other debris can get onto the head if not kept clean.
Has their been recently a very bad head strike as this can cause deflections and the black is at the left so will have hit first.
I would have a look underneath directly at the print head as this may cast a little more light onto your issue.

Heyskull can you look at my pics that I posted yesterday? It's the thread, "Crooked Black Lines" Thanks! And where can I get a service manual for the Mutoh VJ 1204? So I don't have to keep asking how to do stuff.
