Hey guys,
When you guys do head maintenance, you slide out the drawer then push the middle button to raise the carriage then the front button to start the purge then hit the vacuum switch to get going.
I have an engineering dongle and I changed the height settings for the Purge function in SDS.
I changed the value to the maximum carriage height so I don't have to hit the middle button to raise it.
I just hit the Purge button and the carriage raises then starts purging in one step. Yea, I still have to hit the vacuum button but it saves me a bit of time.
Next time your tech is out ask him if he would change the Purge height setting if this is something you would like to have.
Also, if you feel that you waste a lot of ink while purging, your tech can also reduce the purge duration, I forget what the default is, maybe 3 seconds and I dropped mine down to two seconds. It's not a lot of savings but it's there..
