I've done a few tests but haven't had much time to play around with it much - just sent down whatever file I was using and set it to overprint multiple times.
If you're trying to build up the thickness while keeping color consistency, you can use a spot/spot/cmyk profile so you lay down 2 layers of white in between each color pass. (assuming you have white)
Is there a specific effect that you're trying to achieve?
We saw a demo of texturing on the Arizona about 2 years ago. It's in the pipeline but not (natively) available yet.

Ah yep I head about this one from a little birdie a few months back.
Unfortunately not much use in our workshop at this stage, but definitely an impressive piece of kit.
