Odd happening with versaworks

I set up versaworks to print about a 3' piece with cropmarks, and print only.
(done it a million times)

Went to get a sandwich, came back and it was about an inch from being done. It was 99 percent printed but when I looked at the screen, it still said 0 percent on the progress bar.
Never noticed it do that before...hmmmm
It finished printing, and my printer proceded to print a second copy with only one copy selected.
I just cancelled it out, but it's a good thing I came in or no telling how many copies it would have printed.

Just a glitch I guess/hope

If your printer is an USB-SP300, VersaWorks will spool the jobs through a Desktop-Printqueue. This could lead sometimes to strange problems.

Tony, I've inadvertently left my cursor on the check mark icon........and just the tiniest of movement will resend a second file.
That's understandable.

But why you would get an entirely different layout sent is a mystery

chalk it up to a gremlin
It hasn't happen again, has it?

If they let me make it, they will come
When is the last time you updated your versa works? That solved our glitches

Versaworks is on version 4.8.2
It updates quite often.

It started to print a second copy of the first print, not a different layout. It was only set to print one copy.

The status bar never moved past 0 percent on the first copy.

Just a glitch I guess, first time in five years I've had this printer that this has happened.

Tony,

We're having the exact same issue here. I was running 4.8.0 on my XJ-540 though, I hadn't updated to the newest so I'm going to try that.

In the last two days my printer has printed the last job twice. This happened on two occasions with two different jobs. I can't say I noticed what the percentages showed when it printed the first one, I usually just hit print and walk away. Am I going to have to lift up the rollers so it won't just start printing? Definitely sounds like gremlins.

Yes...it's odd.
Have printed several times since, and no problems.
It's a mystery.
I just hit "pause" and cancelled the second print.
It does make me leary now of non-attended printing.
