Oem parts vs after market parts

I need to order some parts, such as a maintenance station for my Mutoh Value Jet 1614 printer. Does anyone have any advice on whether I should get OEM parts or after market parts? What are the pros and cons?

I just put an aftermarket capping station in my 1204. Got it off ebay from china for $17. Had it in 6 days. The only problem with it was the tube sizes are just a hair bigger than the OEM ones so they wouldn't stay on the plastic nipple but it was an easy fix. Other than that it works just as good as the original one. I know for a fact when I have to put a maintenance station in I will take a gamble with an aftermarket one before I shell out the price for an OEM.
