Someone's been watching Battle Royale.
Thoughts go out to the families. We really need a better focus on in-school psychology and teacher training on the subject. More technical barriers won't help, we need to help the kids directly with focused attention on individuals. Budgets getting cut everywhere, specialized programs being eliminated and increasing class sizes isn't helping anything.
Sorry, never heard of it or read anything on it, until you posted this. It's a little different. It seemed they were raising their kids to be soldiers, gladiators or warriors of some sort. I'm saying take all the kids involved in this stuff and instead of trying to pry the guns out of their hands..... let them keep them so to speak and if they wanna be so brave and cool, let 'em shoot it out every Friday night on television and even Utube if they think this will remedy their problems. Anyone, and I do mean
ANYONE...... caught involved in these shootings, stabbings and beating others with bats and bricks.... be rounded up by a squad and without any messing around thrown into a cage and they duke it out or go down. Last chump standing then goes to prison forever. A whole lot less mouths to feed, fewer jail houses needed and less death sentences due to their taking each other out to begin with.
Were they raised wrong ?? Possibly, but if they are this far gone that they are shooting each other in the streets and causing possible harm to total innocents, then crush them. I really don't care if they are 9 years old or 27.... they are bad and have been street trained and parental love will not work. They are hardened criminals before their time, but unfortunately, they are a product of their environment. I cannot pay for and/or take a chance of getting shot, while we spend literally millions on each and every kid to see if 1 out of 2,500 might turn their life around. They had the chance plenty of times and have always resorted to violence. Once something or someone is taught this.... it is very hard to
UNteach them. Violence is a very bad habit. It comes too naturally to some these days. There is nothing wrong with the parents, schools or government.... we have become too easy on criminals at any level or age and they have learned it is far easier to get away with murder than to play by the book. You wanna go into the inner city war zones and try to talk sense to these kids ?? Be my guest. BUT, do it on your own time and money and see how many come around. Y'all talk big that after the kid is caught and is begging for freedom, that he/she are willing to say or do anything to get back to their habit.... killing others. Do it right and instead of from your favorite armchair or lounging sofa... get right in there, like I was years ago and deal with these hoodlums face to face on a daily basis. I was raised in the inner city areas and had to fight for what was mine, but I never claimed or came close to killing another. However, when I owned my first home and these same kids tormented me and I would face them off, I didn't take no chit from any of them. It wasn't until I got married, that I knew my wife couldn't live like that. I had to move. Within two weeks in our new home, the crickets and tree frogs noise took the place of buses, gunfire and people yelling all night long.
Now, when I go downtown, I can see so clearly how fugged up the city really is. You wanna blame bad parenting and schools, well, to a small extent that's it, but society has moved away from these parasites and now that the parasites are aiming their sights out in surburbia, they too are moving further out.
Out where I live now... everyone owns gun
S. It's a well known fact we can handle our area and we don't have the inner city police running around like a bunch of idiots getting in the way.
I still feel sorry for the lives lost or hurt in this latest shooting... and my condolences go out to them and their families, but whoever did it.... should be this week's contender for my
Friday Night and the Shoot-Out.
