Oki (Seiko) w-64s print head question

I've got an issue with my Y printhead (assuming its the damper in the head), I've tried soaking it for a couple hours in NMP fluid and my Y ink is still dropping out. It started with Air in the Y line, replaced multiple "o"rings and have finally got the line sealed up and still having issues with the ink dropping out.

Now my issue is finding a new head (found the printhead in Indonesia) but its saying this is the new head and the head that I pulled out seems to be the old (according to the part number). This is the description:

Printer compatibility: Seiko Colorpainter W-54s / Colorpainter W-64s
This Seiko Print Head Body IRH3223T is suitable and exclusive for Seiko Colorpainter W-54s / W-64s printers. This advanced industrial piezo printhead, designed for longevity and high-volume printing environments, has 254 nozzles (in a non-wetting nozzle plate), a built-in damper and supports 3 different droplet sizes . It has a 36mm print width and fires at frequencies of 36, 26 and 18 kHz. This is the original Seiko part (number 61562062 replacing number U00122416700). Note that this new head 61562062 is different from the old head body U00122416700 with an extra protection plate on the nozzle area that increase the printhead lifespan. The old head U00122416700 is not available anymore and it was discontinued. The new head 61562062 works with a new wiper (part number U00129167800). This new wiper is compatible with the old head U00122416700 but the old wiper is not compatible with the new head.

I'm wondering if this new head is still compatible with the printer and I won't have any issues when installing/running the printer?

Any and all information is much appreciated!

Yes, The new head will work. You do need the new wipers for it... If you install an old wiper, it'll ruin the head. AFAIK, they dont make the old wipers anymore, as the new wipers work with the old heads. Thats the onlything you need to watch out for... its easy to tell though. The new wipers have a slit in them... so they look like | || |. instead of 1 continuous piece.

Do you know how to do the alignment, etc, after putting the head in? We just replaced a head on our h2-74s (Sameish head), My boss didn't want to order one from india, ended up paying roughly $5000 canadian for one installed... The tech had a hard time doing alignment, it wasnt hard per say... just a pain in the ***. So make sure you know whats involved in aligning before you decide to try to do it yourself, otherwise you'll have a huge headache!

Wow, that "Example" formatted badly. Heres an image - The new ones are the ones with the slit. The old ones are continous. I believe you get a new one with the head... at least ours came with it, but ours wasnt OEM from india.

Fantastic! Thanks!

Yeah I know about the wiper, I just put one in a couple days ago so it should be alright. Funny you mentioned the old wiper blade (straight across) the last maintenance kit I got had the old wiper blade in it and when I had the tech in he gave me **** about using it and said I should be using the new ones... I laughed and told him that he sold it to me!

Seiko Colorpainter W Series Printhead Body IRH3223T - 61562062
or
SEIKO Colorpainter W Series Print Head Body

These ones seem to be OEM from what I can tell, apparently has 1 year manufacturer warranty on it so we will see. Going to order 2 PH just in case :p
