Weird question but has anyone had an issue on a dual head machine (JV300, TXF300, etc) where one capping station is aligned and one isn't?
Our TXF300's have been a hot mess and one weird thing is that if we get the white capping station seal to line up the cmyk capping station is noticeably mis-aligned by a good 1/8" of an inch meaning that we can't get a good seal and the colors on the mis-aligned side (the right side of the head, black and yellow on this machine) will drop out all the time.
I can almost center the cmyk capping station (but can't 100% get there) but then the white is misaligned.
We've tried pretty much everything and have torn the whole capping assembly down and put it back together with new cap tops. One of the springs that supports the capping stations had popped off and that was fixed but we're honestly not 100% sure if that was a problem to begin with.
We have two of these machines side by side and both are down. It helps us to compare the two machines side by side but both of them seem to constantly struggle with capping station issues.
One more weird question. We don't have full cleaning cartridges as they are constantly on backorder so. I noticed that when I do a cleaning that we see fluid from the cleaning cartridge line moving towards the capping station. I would assume that the valve farther up the cleaning cartridge line should close off this line so that won't happen. Just tried placing a clamp on the line that goes to the cleaning cartridge and we get noticeably more ink movement during cleaning. Wondering if this is a quirk or what's going on. Supposedly we have cleaning cartridges coming next week but we've been hearing that for a while as they are drop shipped from Mimaki.
