Oracal 3951RA. Do I have a defective roll?
This happens on the edges every couple of feet.
Really pisses me off! :banghead:

Anybody else have this problem?

Defective. File an RMA with Oracal or tell your supplier. Oracal is AWsome at replacing.
Way too late for that. I've had this roll for like a year and its nearly gone now. Luckily ill be using these prints as panels with 1.5" overlaps, so these defective spots will be covered. Personally i dont like this material cuz the initial tack is very high and always end up having to pull teh vinyl back up, which means its stretches out then i got to heat it up to get it to flatten out again. next roll will be 3M with control tac

If you do not like the tack on the 3951 try the 3751...I am not saying any of these are better or worse then 3m but don't think that you wont get bad rolls with 3M it is a nature of the industry

I understand a defective roll can happen with any manufacture. But the 3M controltac lets you move it around without it getting instantly stuck to the surface.
Im not bad mouthing Oracal at all. Almost all of my media/lam is Oracal, and this is the only one i have a problem with.

understandable...I didn't take the assumption you were bad mouthing oracal at all..was just a suggestion if you like oracal the 3751 is suppose to be "less tacky" I feel the frustration part of bad media though...It always comes at the worst times
