Orajet instead of Arlon having problems

So I switched to Orajet from Arlon because of a supplier stand point. However when I print on the Orajet I am not sure if my heat settings are wrong or something but I cant get it to to print. I have a couple different issues.

Edges are getting caught on the cartridge and ripping it up.
The middle is bubbling not allowing a clean print.

Any ideas on what this would be causing this?

I did try using the Profile from Oracle and when using the heat and print settings in versaworks to print, I also raised the head to high station, instead. I am kind of at a loss of words any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Adam

Could be temperature or humidity causing the curl-up and "bubbling." A set of media clamps for your Roland should fix the curling on the ends. For the middle areas where the vinyl is raising up, that happens here occasionally. Just make sure your media is loaded in really tight against the roll, or flattened as much as possible. Also, check your pinch rollers for any grit or dust. That sometimes causes the media to pull forward and in, causing some of that raising in the middle.
Those usually do the trick for us.

Edge media clamps should solve your issues with banding at the edges.

For the center tunneling. That is very common at the start of printing on media. Just advance your vinyl another 4-5 inches or so and the tunnel should go away.

Which Orajet vinyl are you using? With the 3640 I once experienced the adhesive would ooze from the edges due to it shrinking on the roll, with the pinch rollers set to the edge of the vinyl the adhesive built up on the rollers and the media clamps creating all kinds of skewing and tunneling of the vinyl while printing. My solution was to remove the pinch rollers and thoroughly clean them of all adhesive then stop using the 3640 all together. I now use 3165RA for economy grade choice.
