Outside temps

Out of curiosity, is there an outside temperature that you get to where you say it's too warm to install vinyl panels/larger prints due to stretching when you can't have stretching? I know a controlled environment is optimal but sometimes you just gotta do it outside.....80 too much, 85, 90, 100? I'm also talking horizontal layouts where it's not ideal to roll the backer paper like it is vertical.

75 is about it for us. And never in direct sun. Some years back one of our clients needed his new shop truck done before he took it on a out of state job. Long story short it was beastly hot and the graphics were like mushy noodles.
Wife stood behind me with the garden hose spraying a light mist on me, the truck and the graphic. Actually worked well, but I won't be doing that again anytime soon.

It was 82 here yesterday, sunny and a little breezy.....needless to say that the decals were a pain to install. Next time the vehicles are coming to the shop :)

We did a water gun trailer for a fair client and it was in the phx sun and ambient was 115... my installer was blown away at how well that material performed we switched to using it for almost all our wraps.
