pdf and psd logo blurry when open in illustrator

How can i open a clear psd/pdf in illustrator without it being super blurry. I usually don't have this problem

It's blurry because it is a low resolution raster image. You need a better quality graphic.

You're better off with a vector if the client has one available. Any raster image needs to be at least 300dpi for print, often clients send web quality images at 72dpi, and photoshop can adjust the image to have higher dpi, it makes the image much smaller.
