Is there any way to copy artwork from adobe reader to illustrator. Customer sent me a logo in pdf format. I copied and pasted but it loses the whole look. Any suggestions? I printed the logo and am now going to scan it.

Yes, I did and it loses all the fonts and part of the design.

What version of Illustrator are you using?

Have you tried to "place" the pdf into Illustrator? Vector Doctor posted a fantastic method for this that will allow you to keep the text as vectors (although not editable text). Here's the link:

Ok, got it! I am using version cs. I read the instructions you gave and got the job done quickly. That never happens,lol. thanks again!!

No problem, but Vector Doctor deserves the credit. I nominate that pdf tip as "Signs 101 Tip of the Year" as I use it almost daily for file conversion.
