If, like us, you're still running older versions of Coreldraw or other software, you may occasionally receive a cusotmer's pdf file that is in a newer version than you can open. If you download and install the free Foxit PDF Reader, you can open the pdf and then go to File -> Print, and then select the Foxit Reader PDF Printer. Under the Properties for that printer driver, you can select a lower version of PDF. Click Ok, then Print and enter a filename. After saving, you should be able to open the new PDF in your older software.
Can't guarantee this'll work every time, but it's got me out of a few jams.
