I had a blast in Danville last weekend. I'm still trying to catch my breath.

My parents have been project leaders in the past and we hosted an event in our home town last year, but this was the first time my brother and I were asked to be project leaders. And thanks to the help of several great artists we were able to somehow not screw it up.:Big Laugh

Scott Lindley and the city of Danville did a great job hosting us, and I really do think we made a difference in that town. Here are a few shots of the finished murals:

The photos were taken by Kelly Thorson, an artist I had the pleasure of briefly meeting.

Here are a few photos of our site:

If you haven't been to one of these, seriously consider registering for the next one. It is such a great, rewarding experience.

Sorry Joe, nice try. Those photos look photoshopped.

Okay, okay maybe they're not. Did Dick Van Dyke make it to the famous Danvillians?
Great work by all.

I have been lurking living vicariously through all the postings about the event.
This looks like a great meet and that fun was had by all.
I think it's cool that you young whippersnappers were project leaders.
It's hard to choose a fave from all the murals.
Love....Jill

LOL. Don't you think If I photoshopped them I would have shaved a few lbs off of my gut??? :ROFLMAO:

Nope, didn't see Mr. Van Dyke. I don't know if Danville called some of the still living celebrities to let them know their likeness was being recreated on that wall. What I do know is that it turned out great and photos don't do it justice.

Not too many things make me jealous. Letterhead and walldog meets both do. Just a little. When I'm ready for a new career, I think I may need to pick up the brush. Thanks for sharing Joe.
