I have a Mutoh Outdoor Jr. 38 and I recently had problems with the color not coming through. So I soaked the heads for two days and the color is back. Now I am experiencing something else!!! When I print my black has a red tint to it so i clean and very littles comes out of the waste lines. So I took the lines from the capping station off and syringed black and color both through with little priming. Then I cleaned and had a steady stream of black in the lines. So after I cleaned twice I tried printing a black number and it still had a little red tint to it. After that I cleaned again and once again very little ink flow in the waste lines. Can someone please tell me what is wrong and what I should do next to fix it?

it prints red blue and yellow perfect. The black prints just looks real grainey. I have flushed the lines out with cleaning fluid also and when i do a clean normal or powerful it still doesn't come through the lines.

your dampers can get a lot of ink contamination during head soaks. the red/magenta might have leached way way into the black lines. you should probably pull that ink line and draw a good bit of cleaning solution until it runs clean. then replace the black cartridge and repull the black. i had this happen with cyan once.
